The Origami Bag is a beautifully simple, triangle-shaped shoulder bag that looks far more intricate than it is to sew. Designed with ease and versatility in mind, it’s beginner-friendly, yet endlessly satisfying to make.

The shape holds a surprising amount - the small size is perfect for everyday essentials and the big one is great for the beach or a farmers market visit.

No print version included. The tutorial has measurements if you prefer to draw out the pattern instead of printing it.

Pattern Information:

Fabric Needed

Small Bag: 100cm x 50cm / 39.5" x 19.6" of shell material & 100cm x 35cm / 39.5" x 13.8" of lining material (if buying fabric you will need 1m of each)

Large Bag: 160cm x 65cm / 63" x 25.6" of shell material & 160cm x 60cm / 63" x 23.6" of lining material (if buying fabric you will need 2m of each)

Recommended fabrics: cotton, linen, silk or canvas

Made above in this organic canvas and this organic calico, cotton gingham, silk dupion and batik cotton.
